Software engineer, top Stack Overflow contributor in Python and Django, and a teacher who makes hard ideas simple.
I started like most of my students do: curious, a little confused, and searching the internet for answers that actually made sense. Over time I stopped only asking questions and started answering them. On Stack Overflow, developers from around the world have read and upvoted my answers on Python and Django. That is where I learned how to explain something so the person really gets it, not just copies it.
Since then I have spent more than a decade building real software. I write backends in Python, Django, Go and Elixir, design MongoDB databases, and deploy serverless systems on AWS. I have built platforms for diagnostic labs, farmer marketplaces and matchmaking, and these products are used by real people every day.
Teaching is where both sides come together. I have taught students and working professionals one to one and in batches. I bring production experience into every class, so you learn how Python is really used at work, not just how it looks in a textbook. When my students understand why code works, they can build anything.
